01. The Challenge
Industrial companies need solutions that go beyond traditional machine supervision. Real time operational data must be processed close to the asset, transformed into actionable insights, and exposed through interfaces that support faster decisions on the shop floor. At the same time, industrial environments require more flexible architectures to acquire PLC data, standardize machine signals, deploy applications dynamically, and maintain visibility from edge to cloud without adding unnecessary complexity to operations.
02. The Solution
Through their partnership, SECO and Reply developed complementary industrial solutions designed to make edge systems more intelligent, interactive, and easier to manage.
One solution is centered on an industrial HMI that evolves from a traditional visualization interface into an intelligent edge platform. Reply designed and integrated the application layer to provide a touch based dashboard capable of visualizing real time machine parameters such as temperature, vibration, pressure, OEE, output rate, and run or stop states. On top of this, edge AI algorithms enable predictive diagnostics, anomaly detection, and maintenance recommendations directly on the device, supporting low latency analysis and operator guidance close to the machine.
A second solution is built around COM Express modules for software defined industrial automation. In this architecture, data generated by industrial PLCs is acquired, standardized, and processed locally through Reply’s industrial application layer, which publishes machine data via MQTT and transforms raw signals into structured real time information. This allows industrial assets to become more adaptive and connected, while keeping core processing at the edge.
The overall solution is enabled by the Clea ecosystem. Applications are deployed and managed as containerized workloads through SECO Application Hub and Clea Edgehog, while Clea Astarte and a custom Clea Portal application provide secure data collection, live visualization, trend analysis, and operational monitoring across the full architecture. In this way, the partnership combines local intelligence, software flexibility, and edge to cloud visibility in a single operational framework.

03. The Results
